Cumbria has a wealth of paddling & can offer flat water lake trips through to extreme grade 6 becks.  Due to the small catchment of the Lake District the rivers do tend to go up & down very quickly.  Some rivers such as the Eden, Kent & Leven hold their water longer.

Use the "lake" or "river" link on the left to find the most up to date access information.

Local River Advisors or the Regional Access Advisor can give you details of local access agreements on the Cumbrian rivers & lakes

Additional details can be gained from the online UK Rivers guide book or the Rainchasers website run by local paddlers
